About Me
Hello! I’m Wendy Attmore, a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) offering online therapy for adults in Tennessee and North Carolina. I specialize in helping clients navigate anxiety, depression, life transitions, ADHD, and more through a compassionate, values-based approach.
As a recovering perfectionist, I’ve learned that fulfillment doesn’t come from doing everything “right,” but from living in alignment with what truly matters. I help clients clarify their values, build self-awareness, and take meaningful steps toward lives that feel authentic and sustainable, not just what’s expected. Whether you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply ready for change, I’m here to support you.
Many of the individuals I work with are professionals and high-functioning adults balancing demanding careers with personal responsibilities. I offer therapy that provides practical tools to manage stress, reduce anxiety, prevent burnout, and restore balance, so you can thrive at work and at home without losing yourself in the process.
Before becoming a therapist, I earned my BA from UNC-Chapel Hill and worked in management consulting before stepping away to raise my children. I later earned my MSW from the University of Tennessee and began my clinical work in a psychiatric hospital, supporting adults facing anxiety, depression, mood disorders, and psychosis. Since then, I’ve worked in partial hospitalization (PHP), intensive outpatient (IOP), and group private practice settings, continuing to help adults through a wide range of emotional and behavioral challenges.
I’ve called the Nashville area home for over 15 years, where I live with my husband, two sons, and our dog, Boone. Outside of therapy, I enjoy traveling (especially to the mountains of North Carolina) and spending time with my family.
